Offsite & Onsite Surveys
The OSHA HAZWOPER guidelines for biological and chemical decontamination is our baseline for projects that are a threat to human health. The initial step is to collect as much information as possible about the scope and timeline of the project. We will ask some basic questions to help estimate the extent of contamination, type of facility, people involved, and other relevant information. After this offsite survey, you will be provided with a preliminary estimate and plan for decontamination.
After the initial contact, if you have questions that are specific to a specialized department, we will put you in touch with the appropriate expert. Questions concerning the process will be directed to a project manager or higher-level personnel closest to your area, who specializes in virus decontamination. When you are ready to move forward, we will mobilize to your site for an on-site survey to prepare for decontamination.
The on-site survey begins after arrival and starts with verification of the information gathered over the phone. The survey includes establishing safety plans for initial entry into the building, sharing hazard communication plans, and addressing potential complications. The decontamination plan may then be adjusted for your unique project. We may recommend engaging an Industrial Hygienist for protocol review and clearance to further reduce risk. These initial critical steps will lay the groundwork for a successful project.
